Welcome to FinChat for Excel! This guide will walk you through the core features and functionalities to help you maximize your productivity with AI-powered financial analysis.

1. Using ArborChat Function

Example: ARBOR_FAST

The =ARBOR_FAST formula allows you to retrieve quick factual information about a company. For example:

=ARBOR_FAST("AAPL", "Who is their current CEO?")  

This will return the CEO of Apple Inc.

2. Using Entity Functions

Example: ARBOR_SCREEN

ArborChat supports advanced entity functions. Here's how you can use them:

1. Enter a query that generates an entity result (e.g., =ARBOR_SCREEN("Top semiconductor stocks")).

1. Hover over the entity icon that appears in the cell after generation.

1. Click the small button labeled "Answer" to expand the entity.

1. A list of answers will populate in the adjacent cells.

3. Active Cell Detection for Errors

The ArborChat panel includes a feature that detects which cell is active and flags any errors with ArborChat formulas, while this only refer to single tab but not entire workbook.

4. Regenerate and Stop Buttons

Regenerate

• Use the Regenerate button to reprocess the active or error formula and generate a new answer.

Stop

• The Stop button halts ongoing processing.

• Note: Stopping does not interrupt operations already in the queue. Tokens will still be used for queued operations.

5. Regeneration and Storing Values

ArborChat supports customization of formula results:

1. Select one or a range of specific cells for bulk operations

2. Use the Store as Value option to save the result as a static value.

3. Or Use Regenerate option to regenerate the results
